So how do tankless water heaters work? They function a lot like car radiators, but instead of cooling fluid with a fan, a tankless water heater heats the coils that the water is piped through.

Among the various types of tankless water heaters, we recommend the condensating units. Although installation does involve adding drain lines for the condensation, these units have the highest efficiency ratings and qualify for the largest rebates.
